Well turkeys aren't known to be the smartest of the birds existing so 20 seconds was pretty polite time to let them think about the traffic rules. I hope it was enough for that you both found out who should approach the intersection first.

I have one but it's away for the winter. And there wouldn't have been a turn signal for the turkey to not notice anyways.
